africon GmbH is an international consultancy with sole focus on Africa.

With our philosophy “bridging potentials“ we consult global companies on their Africa strategy, beginning with their market entry until the local implementation. We handle national and regional projects, business development and project implementation all over Africa.

We are looking for a new team member to join us in Nigeria and handle some of our projects within West Africa.

Business Analyst – Nigeria (m/f)

Your role:

Manage client projects at different stages involving in-depth local research, entire market analysis, strategy development, partner identification, sales, and business development.
Conduct local interviews with potential partners and clients to support research for projects.
Manage different experts in your country and other countries.
Work on multi- country client projects with other consultants within and outside Nigeria.
Prepare client presentations and regular updates.
Organize client business trips, facilitate all meetings with potential partners and relevant associations.
Develop relevant contacts and maintain relationship with potential partners or clients, suppliers, associations, etc within local country.
Support sales efforts within the company including acquiring new projects with existing clients, identifying leads, preparing proposals, and following up to close new deals.

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a business or economics related field
Minimum of 1-3 years of work experience – preferably in multi-industry consulting, sales and business development or research roles.
Some experience with project management.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint.
High analytical, organizational, and sophisticated problem-solving skills.
Ability to analyse wide range of data, create compelling reports and communicate findings clearly.
Very fluent verbal and written English language competency. Other languages (e.g. French) are a plus.
Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
Cultural understanding for Africa and Europe
